I’m a PvE bloke. But with that being said, it doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the PvP aspects of the game. What good is this shiny new gear if I can’t use on other players? Given the choice between the two, definitely PvE because I appreciate the technical difficulties and thought required in order to succeed at these raid encounters.
Well, here is my answer. I’m a PvE person. If you read my previous post (why i wow) you’ll see I started playing this game as a “non-mmo” rpg..
I’ve done some arena’s lately and had a decent time, but mainly because it is with my friends and that is fun.
I haven’t really participated much in the Battlegrounds.. Maybe I would if the guild gets a group together to run one, I might join.. I think I would enjoy that.
PVE here too, I don’t really enjoy being ganked when I least expect it, hence a PVE server… although I have been enjoying melting faces on my lock in bgs…
I’m not sure it’s fair to mark the “both” option, but I can’t imagine not having both aspects of the game in place. As much as I hate entering STV on a PvP server, I think that area would be boring without the risk. And while I thoroughly enjoy PvE content, I feel like I become a better player via PvP. And both are fun! Although I would agree that PvP is much more fun when enjoyed with friends (just like PvE)…
Amg. Um. Both!!!
PvP server ftw. I’ll take my PvE with a slice of trouble at the door. Nothing beats heading out to the Headless Horseman and having to fight tooth and nail to get to the door.
Yes, I can have my cake and eat it too. Mmm. Delicious PvE cake with PvP icing.
I played too many MOOs and MUSHs back when those were the top dog where I’d be a little noobling wandering around then getting ganked by some lvl 100 god who thought it was funny to corpse camp some brand new person to their game. PvP? Noooo thank you. I like being able to explore areas and go about my time in-game without having to worry about getting killed all the time by some player that has way too much time on their hands. Carebear for life!
I voted for PvE
I do enjoy PvP, but being in Australia where the best I can get is ~250ms latency, I’m at a natural disadvantage to start with. And then there’s the issue that my spatial perceptions suck.
