Into the Blight… That’s right, I finally made it (officially?) to Dragonblight.. I’ve been there before and had the flight points due to instancing, etc, but this was the first time I went there knowing I was running out (well, maybe not) of quest hubs in HF. This morning I looked and I find I’ve missed a few hubs and should go back.. We’ll see.. :P 

I also haven’t gone too far in Borean Tundra. I should also go do the quests there before I get too high level for them to matter..

So, anyway, Fimlys is now 73 1/3 or so.. I dinged 73 and kept right on trucking. Spent all last night doing quests (and getting free enchants!). It really is lots of fun. To anyone that I pissed off by accidentally pulling a mob you were going to pull or “using” something that was the quest result, I’m sorry. Some of the time I click and have no idea what it is doing (other than a bar shows up).. I was probably trying to skin something under/around it.  When I see the skin icon show up.. I click it..

Fyra is level 71 now (I don’t remember if I blogged about that) due to a Nexus run and other Coldarra quests she finished the other night. I think there are still quests to do there and in the Nexus, but I’m not really playing her right now.  I want to try to concentrate on Fim and see how it goes.  I would be happy to get him to 77.. Of course, Fyra is my only epic flying.. So maybe she should be first.. Hmm..

Anyway, I hope you all liked the video. The song is Little Wonders by Rob Thomas. I thought it went well with the theme.. WotLK and Northrend in particular is just filled with these little events, these little “wonders” that just make the experience that much better.  I tried to capture a few of them in the screenshots, but many times they go by too fast or I just plain forget…

Tonight will be more leveling for Fimlys.. I’ve been trying to keep up on sending my enchanter items to DE and have to go to my inscriber to get minor inscription research. I don’t know that I upgraded his inscription yet.. I should probably do that.. Anyway, I am outta here..

First, I have to say that WotLK is great. You can hear a lot about my adventures so far in the next Twisted Nether. Bre and I talk FOREVER about it..

What am I not enjoying? The queues.. Of course.. We’re not as bad as some, but it does cut into my play time. I wish I could already create a Death Knight on other servers where I Don’t have a lvl 55.  I would roll on some lower pop server and play on my other account while trying to get onto Draenor.

Anyway, so I got Fimlys to 72 last night doing some instances (We’ve done Utgard, Nexus, Azjol-Narub (az-noob) and the other Ahk’something at az-noob).  I’m loving each and every instance so far. Each is very different from the other and I have to say the bosses in Ahk-noob are just awesome. I also got my wasp, Slacker, to level 71 last night and Rico, the Gorillililla, is almost 71 also (like 1.7k to go.. lol).  Fim has been questing mostly in HF (although he did some quests in BT and Coldarra too).

Fyra is on her way to level 71. She has been going slower because I am leveling her exclusively with Traebear and Jordey (Kezz’s priest), but we’ve been doing instances on other toons instead of leveling those.

Fim has also maxxed out Skinning (thanks to instances with lots of skinnable mobs) and is now > 400 in LW.  I even applied the new bracer patch that gives like +114 AP! Very Very awesome… Fim also got a port to Dalaran from our first lvl 74 mage in the guild (Thanks blue!) so he’s been running around there and even did one of the cooking quests.

In general, I am having a blast with WotLK.. Oh! And Fim also got that Achievement for killing some number of turkeys in 3 min. Hint: Best place to farm the turkeys is just west of the Expedition Outpost in HF (at the crossroads there). Careful, when you earn the achievement lots of stuff becomes aggressive that wasn’t before.. It changes back when you die though (dunno if it does otherwise).

Yes, I did meet up with Mania and BRK.  They tell the story pretty well as far as I am concerned.. I drove about 40 minutes each way and it was well worth it to spend the time waiting with people I “knew”. We had interviewed Mania previously on TNB and obviously I read BRK all the time..

So anyway, there were 2 lines when we got there after dinner (yes, I had dinner with BRK and Mania and her husband). One line was for getting all “finalized”.  You got your final receipt with it’s little highlighted line and then you got to move to the OTHER line. This one was not going to be moving until midnight.  It wrapped down the mall and around the corner.. There had to be well over 100 people there. Mostly male, of course, with some scattered females (sounds like a weather report).

Even met up with a fan (woot! we have 1), Stirling. He found us in line and actually wanted to talk to me (as opposed to everyone else who just wanted to talk to BRK or Mania). It was very cool. Had a great time and about 15 minutes after midnight I was on my way home. Stay tuned for the next TNB where you will hear all the audio recording I did on my grand journey..

What did I do when I got home? I installed the game, of course. But, I had  CE coming in the mail.. So this was for my alt account.. AHHHH! No 70s on the alt account.. I made a DK instead and had a bit of fun starting out.  Then it was pretty late and I was tired from all the driving.. So, I saved the rest for the morning…

I’m planning on bringing my Camera (so you should see some, uh, “screenshots” here in a few days) and my nifty digital audio recording device (thanks honey for my anniversary present) to include some hard hitting reporting into the podcast this week.

Additionally, I’ll be bringing some TCG loot cards to give away.. Not sure what I am going to make y’all do, though.. Muahahahha….

I’ll be the one in the Blue TNB T-Shirt.. Probably hard to miss.. I’m sure the peeps that will be there will have never heard of me (other than Mania.. not sure about BRK… ) but they will get loot cards anyway… maybe..

My cohort in audio podcasting crime will also be attending her own event down in Miami! Unfortunately, she didn’t want to miss out on 4 hours of installing and the lagfest to follow just to come up to Orlando to partake in “our” festivities.. Can’t say I blame her..

So, come meet us! Get in that car and drive down.. Even if you haven’t pre-ordered, I bet they will have some extras… Jus doooo iiiit.!

I have no idea. Anyway, am I getting prepared for WotLK? Um, not really. I did some stuff last month to help prepare (sell a bunch of stuff, etc.) but I really just don’t know. I no longer have 4 70s and 5 60s… I now have 4 70s, 1 62, 1 61 and 3 60s… And, more than likely, I will have a 55 come Thursday.

This weekend I got Fizz up to 61 and was invited to join a Ramps/Furnace run. There was an extra spot, so I also dragged along Fellmara (my lock), so she got to level 61 from all her efforts and Fizz hit 62 the next day (he was pretty close). Oh, and since Fell got to 61, she could go buy her new mount.. woot!

Since I have been leaving all the “sillies” as my posts lately, I didn’t get to say much about Rico, my new Feralas Ape. I love the look of those Gorillas and so went and tamed one. Yes, he was 65 after I tamed him. No, he isn’t 70 yet. I do have him to 66 at least though.

Also this weekend, we did a retro-run. We got about 15-20 people together and ran AQ40. We skipped all the optional bosses but got stuck at the Twin Emperors. They are just crazy..

We did another Z’A run last night and I got to heal (for a change). This wasn’t the ‘regular’ Z’A group, which was fine, but because of a bit of experience (even just in same people, different toon) we only got 2 timed chests.  We also only got the first 3 bosses down (Eagle,Bear,Drgaonhawk). We just couldn’t get Halazzi down in the time allotted. It was okay though. I had a good time and Fhuun got a bit of a workout.

Tonight I won’t be playing WoW since it is my wedding anniversary. I’ll be back tomorrow in a big push to “get stuff done” before the expansion releases.  I will not have much time to play on wed, since I am heading out to a midnight release and plan to be there around 10:30pm or so.

As in wasps.. Sorry, I’ve been slacking on the blog.. I have been under the weather (so to speak) for a while now. I’m feeling a bit better and I’m up for a little blogging action..

I’m not going to try to recap everything i have done since I last spoke with you. I will say that the guild went into BT and whipped a few boss butts along the way. (I helped out with all we did except the first). We cleared Z’A again and I got a group of peeps together to go run Heroic Underbog in order to get Fimlys a level 70 wasp pet.

It was lots of fun and a couple of others in the group switched out for their hunters to tame one also. I named him Slacker.. Don’t ask me why.. I really don’t know. I’m liking him so far though.

Then, last night (see, we caught up) I got the Shamlock duo to 60 finally. So now I have 5 60’s (Mage, Pally, Shaman, Lock, Warrior) and 4 70’s (Hunter, Priest, Druid, Rogue).  Pretty crazy…

So, that’s about it.  I’m back and all and so hopefully you’ll hear from be again tomorrow!

Happy Halloween! Ok.. Now that we got that out of the way, down to some srs bsns. Last night was TK night! I have decided that I am having some serious FUN playing Fimlys again.. Woot! I am really loving the changes they made and being back in MM is great.

So, TK. We did a pretty good job with A’lar, despite me being dead for most of the fight (2 times). We then moved on to Void Reaver and he was pretty much a piece of cake. Then we went to a boss I hadn’t done yet (even though the guild had), Solarian. Pretty fun fight.  We wiped quite a few times as people got used to noticing if they had the “time to fly” debuff..

Finally got her down and our foray into TK was at an end. I then pulled out the Shamlock duo and started my first few quests in Outland (Woot!). One of the first quests in HH is to kill some demons.. Well, turns out that with RAF, you get almost 30k xp from that quest.. OMG! So, then I went and did the one to kill orcs.. And guess what?  Ding! 59! So, I’ve got to grant levels to my Warrior now to 59 and then go about finishing them up to level 60. 

We don’t have any raids planned tonight due to Halloween, so maybe I’ll drag someone into Scholo or just have them help with a couple of outlands quests.. I should get there quick.. In addition, Fimlys needs to shed some +hit.  Which means replacing some of the +hit gear with other stuff I can find. There is a nice badge belt I can get and also a ring to replace one of my rings with +hit.  I would love to add some more +haste since my steady is still (un-aided) at 1.7s cast at this point.. (I want 1.5 again).

I think I might finally have enough badges to get one of the belt or ring now.  I was also thinking it might be fun to get a 5-man group together to try to do Kara.  I think it would be pretty awesome and at least more of a challenge than 10-manning it is now. But then again, if 10 ppl wanna come, that’s fine too.. We can blast through it and pick up a bunch o’ badges along the way.
