Asleep at the WoW

I logged into Fhuun last night figuring that even though I hadn’t signed up for the Kara run, they would probably need a healer.. :P  So, yeah.. I went ahead and signed up when I logged in and got the invite not long after 9. There were only 2 healers this run, Karine (Kezz’s Drood) and Me. With Karine there, I was really only an afterthought. I bet (other than her many deaths) she could have healed the whole thing herself, no problem.

I was pretty sleepy throughout the run though. And I swear I wasn’t REALLY awake for a couple of those boss fights (Curator especially)..  We got all the way through to killing the Shade of Aran including the Maiden (which we usually skip).  I really am pretty sure I was “Sleephealing” through most of it. I definitely put the truth into the name of my blog last night.

Obviously nothing dropped for Fhuun (since he doesn’t need anything) other than badges, but we had a few “lower” geared folks in with us that got the good loot anyway. In the Shade fight it was pretty amazing how fast we got him down to the elemental level.  We had 2 Mages, 1 Rogue, 1 Feral, 1 RestoDruid, 1 Enhancement Shaman, 1 Holy Priest, 2 Hunters and a Warlock.  We were definitely stacked well on the side of DPS.

Tonight we actually have a signup for SSC! I think the plan is to go in and see how we do on the trash.  I really hope we get enough people on to head in. I assume I’ll probably have to bring Fhuun for da healz, but I suppose you never know.  Also, tonight we are doing our interview for Episode 6 of TNB, so I’ll have to leave “early” anyway. Well, we still aren’t getting the Gruul numbers.  We’ve got a few “new” members that created alts on Draenor and are leveling up.  In a few weeks (if not sooner) we might have some new folks to join us in Kara and then drag them into Gruul’s with us.  It would almost be nice to have to turn people away who want to go!  Arghh..  I know we have the people, we just can’t get them all online at the same time.. haha…

Anyway, so Gruul scrapped, we pushed up the Kara run to start last night (surprising, eh?). We headed in with 2 tanks, 3 healers, 5 dps..  Fyra was once again near the top of the damage chart.  I am so proud of her boomyness…

Before the first pull, our MT was having a bit of Outfitter trouble.  It seemed that outfitter wanted him to shoot arrows out of his gun… Ahh… It still makes me chuckle just thinking about it. (the following is a reenactment and does not reflect the TRUE conversation had in the foyer of Karazhan)

• RL: “Ok, Pull when ready”
• MT: “I’m having a bit of gun trouble”
• RL: “Gun trouble?”
• MT: “Yeah, outfitter is giving me fits”
• RL: “Fits?”
• MT: “It seems to want me to shoot arrows out of my bow”
• Raid: “ROFL!”

Ok.. ok.. It was funny at the time.. So there!  Anyway, the group did awesome. We one-shot all the bosses we tried (in order of the trying): Attumen, Moroes, Opera (R&J), Curator, Maiden. We had to swap out our Resto Druid for a Holy Pally before the Curator due to IRL issues. But everything went awesome. Fyra picked up some healy gear (bah) and a bunch of badges (nuttin wrong wit badgers…).

It was getting pretty late after that, but I offered to help Jess get her drood through BM for her Elixir Mastery. We couldn’t find another DPS (we had 4/5 ready) so we canned it for the night. I spent a little more time playing with the new TNB Wiki and then the bed beckoned.

I’m back! Not that I was gone very long, but here I am! I spend some of last night leveling Fyra and then Fimlys got invited into the Karazhan run for thu/sat (well, at least for thu part).

Fyra is now VERY close to level 68 (< 150k xp to go) and I’m excited. Get to fly soon! I was doing a lot of quests in Shadowmoon Valley since I pretty much skipped that zone on Fhuun the last time around.  So, the quests are not as “boring” as they might have been otherwise. She is also Scryer while my two 70’s are Aldor, so maybe some of the quests will be different anyway.

I was getting really close to 68 when I got the whisper… “Do you want to bring Fim in for Kara?”..  “Sure!”..  Woot! More badges.. Getting closer to 100! I switched over, repaired and bought arrows and then was summoned.

It was a really good group considering it was the 2nd run of the week. We had 3 hunters in all (me being one).  A Priest, Shaman and Paladin to heal (and buff). 2 Warriors to tank and 2 Mages for more DPSness. We started a little late so the clearing progressed to the Curator.  Attumen, Moroes, R&J (Opera), Curator is all we had time for but we 1 shot everything. Attumen dropped his crossbow, which I didn’t have (and really don’t need) but a few of us rolled on it for “sentimental” value and I didn’t win it.  Eh, doesn’t matter..

Tonight is Gruul’s Lair and hopefully I will be able to go (depending on RL issues). Another short post (wow, a short KARA post!!).  Hopefully I’ll be back into full form after the weekend! Have a good one!
