Asleep at the WoW

Well, maybe not. I did a few of the quests this weekend the new midsummer festival. I even participated in a few cracks at Ahune.  We had some cloaks drop and the Scythe.

I’m sorry for the lack of an update yesterday. I suppose these things happen. But.. More importantly we finally god Episode 5 of the Twisted Nether Blogcast up!  Go listen.. Well, only if you want to…

Ok.. back to me.. ME ME ME! (oh wait, that was me too…) Friday Gruul didn’t happen so we did what we always do…. Formed another Kara run. I had to leave early again to go interview Pike. So anyway, the run went well. We had a paladin and warrior tanks and we flew through everything pretty well.  We had a newly joined resto druid along with Karine (kess’ resto druid). Fhuun was also there healing. A couple of rogues, mages and a warlock.

On Saturday we were supposed to go to Z’A but we couldn’t get the right peeps together so we ended up finishing up the Kara run from Friday. It went really well again and we cleared the place out.

Over the weekend I did pick up a new trinket for Fyra. The Icon of the Silver Crescent. It replaced a green trinket so I was pretty happy about that.

Monday during the day I took a few 60s (61, etc) into Ramparts. I brought Fyra so that I could tank/dps/heal.. :)  It was fun and we only wiped a couple of times.  Both the hunter and priest we had with us got some gear and the two warriors learned a little bit.. I think..

Monday night was a tale of 2 heroics.  We did the daily heroic which was Underbog and then swapped one player and went into Steam Vaults. Not much useful dropped but it was fun and we got badges. Later the 3v3 team I am in got in their last matches for season 3. We ended up 6-4 which is pretty awesome for us! Haha..

Short post. Not feeling the energy today.. Just need some sleep I think.. :P  Later all!

Finished up Kara last night. It was one of the easiest 2nd halves we have ever done. We had a little waiting around as some people swapped hither and yon a few times, but we one shot everything and had a blast.  I got the offhand from Netherspite, Jewel of Infinite Possibilities which has a nice chunk of SpellHit on it.

Fyra now has 139 Spell Hit. With 83% base spell hit on a Level 73 boss, +4% for Balance of Power talent and ~11% for the 139 spell hit, I am looking at 98% chance to hit.  I need only 13 more SpellHit to get to the 152 Spellhit Cap according to WoWWiki. I took a little hit on SpellDmg, but I’m happier being close to the hit cap.

Other news! Fyra also kept up with one of our best mages (Kezz) for the whole run.  The only boss we slipped on was Netherspite since I had to tank the 2nd 1/2 of the first red beam. That seriously hampers my spelldamage/spellhit gear.

After the Kara run, we got a group together to go do Heroic Botianica. I brought in Fhuun to heal since he needed 10 more badges for the new mace he has been eyeing. We finished the run pretty quickly. And overall, it was really easy (no wipes) and somewhat productive. I got 5 of the 10 badges I needed and a bunch of Scryer rep stuff I sent to Fyra. In addition, I picked up the pattern for the Battlecast Pants. If the mats weren’t so crazy I would have already made a pair for Fyra. She has some other things to get before worrying about those!

Tonight might be Gruul’s if we can get enough ppl on. And then the next night is my Z’A run.  I’m hoping we can down the dragonhawk boss this time.  I think we can do it!  I may/may not post this weekend, but I’ll be back on Monday! Peace!

Ok Ok Ok.. So I got this Drood.. She is level 62. Her name is Fyra.  You know all this, but I tell u cuz I like u.  Don forget dat! Ok. Ok. Ok. So the end of the Kara run don happen. I ring up my buddies and I say, “YO! Lets go hang wit da mob in ramps.”.  We gets together a group. Pil [priest], Kezz [mage], Stopitnow [rogue] (I said Stopit!), 63 Bear Tank and yous truly (Fyra of da badaboom!)

Fyra had the quest for killing the bosses in Ramparts and we had a fun time rolling through the place.  I have to say that I think she did pretty well for a little 62.  Her damage output is pretty nice and should get better.  She picked up a nice new staff and a few other pieces of gear from the quests.  (Some Kitty gear too since the boom gear was not an upgrade).

After the ramps run, everyone graciously offered to go into Blood Furnace to work on the next quest with me.  Once again, with 3 70s this was pretty easy.  Especially with Kezz and Stopit, 2 of the best DPS in the guild.  Pil was having fun through both runs only healing with Prayer of Mending which attributes the healing to the person healed.  He ended the furnace run being the bottom of both the damage and healing charts.. :D  LOL .. Go Pil!

So, Fyra is still 62 but 3/4 of the way to 63 and got to Honored with HH rep.  She picked up 2 new Alchemy recipes. Recipe: Elixir of Major Agility and Recipe: Transmute Skyfire Diamond. Also picked up the Sage’s Band which was an upgrade for me.. YAY! And I might just have to pick up the Wyrmhide Gloves when I hit 70. Looks like PvP gear is the best boomkin gear for right now…

Today is Tuesday. We might be starting a kara run tonight.  I also need to go run Fimlys over to IoQD to pick up one badge vendor item.  Haven’t figured out which would be best, but I’ll get one.  I have 135 badges I think..  Maybe they will let me bring Fim into Kara tonight..
