Asleep at the WoW

Sorry about the delay in posting. Lots has been going on over the weekend! If you care to know about it, read on!

So, back to Thursday night. Finished up the Kara run with flying colors other than not getting to Nightbane.  We also had a few issues with Maiden again.  It is very odd that we can’t get one of the simpler fights done in one-shot yet we get the others without problem.  Ah well.  The two newer toons in the raid picked up a ton of new gear though, so it was worth it.

On Friday Mythos carved it’s way down to the Lurker in SSC. After a few wipes while we got our heads around what needed to be done, we got him down! It was a “guild run” first for us. I actually got to bring in Fimlys because they needed the CC for the adds.  It was fun bringing him into a raid again, need to remember that..

The rest of the weekend was spent working on the Rogue. He is now up to 66 after we ran through the first 4 TBC instances (Ramps, Furnace, Slave Pens, Underbog).  We had a lot of fun and I got much more of a feel of the rogue class and how it all fits together, I think. I got a few drops and some decent quest rewards from the whole thing.

Tonight looks like it will be another rogue leveling night.  We are just getting started in Nagrand and I am looking forward to hitting at least 67 by the time we finish up there (I think..).. I’ll talk to you all tomorrow!

Monday is an “off” night.  That generally means we don’t Raid.  Sunday usually is too, but we were finishing up a Kara run this week. Monday also means that the Arena teams run their 10 games per team before Tuesday roll around.

I logged in to Fyra at the usual time and did some farming and a daily or two. Then I decided to give Jess a hand with leveling her druid in the bone wastes. Turns out I had never done the quest she was working on. It was fun, because she is specced Boomkin also for now (she is 66). So we had the boomkin sisters running around killing spiders and then the big monster spider thingy.

We hung out for a while until I was pinged by Stopitnow (guildie rogue) asking if I wanted to join a 3v3 with him and one of our dps warriors.  Sure!  And they wanted Fyra!  Wow, this was going to be interesting..  I was right. It was loads of fun.  We all stealthed (the warrior was a NE) and stopit and I ran around checking out the competition. We ended up going 4-6 and I think our rating went up a little (the team was pretty low rated to begin with). I had a great time!

Afterwards a group was put together to go run Heroic Slave Pens. It was the Daily Heroic instance and since Fhuun needs badges, I offered to bring him in.  We cleared it out without a single wipe and in about an hour (maybe less).  We had Bear Tank, Stopitnow (Rogue), DPS Warrior, Warlock and Healing Priest (me). It was cool to have an “Off Tank” (actually 2, since stopit OTed sometimes also).  It did take some paying attention to the healing though, since DPS warriors tend to take a lot of damage.  We did great though and it was a good run.  Nothing much dropped but I got the 3 badges from the run and 2 more from the quest (in addition to gold and random greens).

Oh, almost forgot. Before all this, I was helped to get the Zuluhed the Whacked quest done so I could start on my Netherwing quests. Thanks to everyone that helped me kill the dude.. He can be a real pain.

And that, as they say, was that. I actually logged off somewhat early (for me) and headed to bed. Tonight is Gruul’s hopefully. I assume they will want Fhuun for at least the HK fight and then Fimlys for Gruul. At some point I would like to drag Fyra into there too.  Might be interesting to get the +5% crit to a group of mages and such..

Ok.. Lots of stuff happened this weekend.  I don’t know that I am going to detail it all today because my head hurts just thinking about it.  Highlights only (of course, I might ramble on for hours… who knows..)

First things first! The second episode of the Twisted Nether Blogcast - Hax and Haelz is up! This weeks show is longer and we have a special guest for the featured blog section. There is some really important information about securing yourself from this Flash hack and account hackers.

No Zul’Aman this weekend. I was just too tired to run the raid on Friday and even Sunday.  I am hoping I’ll be more excited about the whole thing next Sunday, but we are going to try to run Gruul’s on Tuesday (if we can get the peeps) so we’ll see how things are going. 

I spent a lot of time this weekend working on my Swift Flight Form for Fyra. I finally got enough gold to pick up my 300 Riding skill and a Swift Griffon on Saturday. I was having an awesome time even with that, since it is my first epic flying mount. I worked on the quests for the flight form and even got into Black Morass to get my Elixir Mastery done.

I missed the second half of the Wed/Sat Kara run because I was late (stupid slow restaurant service… bah!), but it gave me time to work on the podcast and then joined people on a Heroic Magister’s Terrace run.  It was the first time I had finished it on Heroic. Had to bring Fim in though for the 3rd boss(es). Fyra was in there and we just couldn’t get it done.  I think we were both lacking a little DPS and also another CC and pet CC helped..

The weekend was filled with other Heroics and such, but the one that was most important to me was last night’s Heroic Sethekk Halls run.  Yep… I GOT MY SWIFT FLIGHT FORM!!!!!   I was sooo excited.

In addition, I was pretty excited that Lady Jess transferred her hunter over to Draenor this weekend and joined Mythos. On Sunday we asked her to join a little Heroic Slave Pens run and we had a great time!

Tonight is a little R&R.  Probably do some dailies and maybe a few quests.  Farming herbs is so much fun now with SFF…. Also might head into a couple more heroics.. Still need 75 or so badges on Fyra to get the Scryer’s Dagger I put into that wishlist post. That’s it for today.. I kept it short! Woot!  … Later All …
