Asleep at the WoW

Sorry about the delay in posting. Lots has been going on over the weekend! If you care to know about it, read on!

So, back to Thursday night. Finished up the Kara run with flying colors other than not getting to Nightbane.  We also had a few issues with Maiden again.  It is very odd that we can’t get one of the simpler fights done in one-shot yet we get the others without problem.  Ah well.  The two newer toons in the raid picked up a ton of new gear though, so it was worth it.

On Friday Mythos carved it’s way down to the Lurker in SSC. After a few wipes while we got our heads around what needed to be done, we got him down! It was a “guild run” first for us. I actually got to bring in Fimlys because they needed the CC for the adds.  It was fun bringing him into a raid again, need to remember that..

The rest of the weekend was spent working on the Rogue. He is now up to 66 after we ran through the first 4 TBC instances (Ramps, Furnace, Slave Pens, Underbog).  We had a lot of fun and I got much more of a feel of the rogue class and how it all fits together, I think. I got a few drops and some decent quest rewards from the whole thing.

Tonight looks like it will be another rogue leveling night.  We are just getting started in Nagrand and I am looking forward to hitting at least 67 by the time we finish up there (I think..).. I’ll talk to you all tomorrow!

Well, maybe not. I did a few of the quests this weekend the new midsummer festival. I even participated in a few cracks at Ahune.  We had some cloaks drop and the Scythe.

I’m sorry for the lack of an update yesterday. I suppose these things happen. But.. More importantly we finally god Episode 5 of the Twisted Nether Blogcast up!  Go listen.. Well, only if you want to…

Ok.. back to me.. ME ME ME! (oh wait, that was me too…) Friday Gruul didn’t happen so we did what we always do…. Formed another Kara run. I had to leave early again to go interview Pike. So anyway, the run went well. We had a paladin and warrior tanks and we flew through everything pretty well.  We had a newly joined resto druid along with Karine (kess’ resto druid). Fhuun was also there healing. A couple of rogues, mages and a warlock.

On Saturday we were supposed to go to Z’A but we couldn’t get the right peeps together so we ended up finishing up the Kara run from Friday. It went really well again and we cleared the place out.

Over the weekend I did pick up a new trinket for Fyra. The Icon of the Silver Crescent. It replaced a green trinket so I was pretty happy about that.

Monday during the day I took a few 60s (61, etc) into Ramparts. I brought Fyra so that I could tank/dps/heal.. :)  It was fun and we only wiped a couple of times.  Both the hunter and priest we had with us got some gear and the two warriors learned a little bit.. I think..

Monday night was a tale of 2 heroics.  We did the daily heroic which was Underbog and then swapped one player and went into Steam Vaults. Not much useful dropped but it was fun and we got badges. Later the 3v3 team I am in got in their last matches for season 3. We ended up 6-4 which is pretty awesome for us! Haha..

Short post. Not feeling the energy today.. Just need some sleep I think.. :P  Later all!

Ah! Not another Kara post.. Well, it’s a “weekend” post.. I just wanted to do a Kara titile. :)  But first!!!!

Back? Ok.. Lets begin. By days, as usual.

Friday was Gruul’s Lair night. No big problems with High King except that I think we had 1 wipe on him this week (hmm.. memory is going…). We moved on to Gruul himself with high hopes coming off of last weeks first kill.  Well, not so lucky this week. Lots of deaths. No Looootz.  Ah well.  We’re still learning I think, but I’m sure we’ll get him down again soon.

Saturday night I was included in the 2nd half Kara run from thur/sat. We one shot everything except for the Prince who seriously bugged out.  We were doing pretty well and then all of the sudden he spazzed and enfeebled the Main Tank!!!  ARGH.. One more hit and MT goes down… bugger.. It’s a wipe. We run back and he acts all happy to see us and BLAM! we wipe the floor with him…

Otherwise we one shot everything including Nightbane. From the Shade of Aran Fhuun picked up some nice DPS stuff since nobody needed/wanted them otherwise. We also picked us up some badges.. precious badges… mmmm….

After we were done, I worked on leveling Fyra some more and got her to level 65! 3 more levels until flight… Can’t wait.

Sunday was another level Fyra day. In the evening we ran into Underbog with some very nice guildies (Pil, Kezz, Wickum, Warrior Tank) and got some sporregar quests done.  Each one yielded 22k XP!!! Whoa! Also got the orphan quests done and each one of those was worth 11k XP! Fyra is now about 20k away from level 66! Woo hoo!

Not really sure what tonight will bring.  I’m sure Fyra will make it to 66 and be well on her way to 67.  Other than that, most of the guild will probably be getting their arena runs in, so… Who knows? :D  Worst case, I level Fyra. TTYL..
